VA healthcare is support for Veterans provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs. VA healthcare includes medical care and prescriptions provided at VA clinics and facilities. In some cases, you may also receive dental care.
Medicare Advantage (Part C) is a type of Medicare health plan offered by private companies approved by Medicare. It provides all your Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance) coverage and often includes extra benefits like vision, dental, hearing, and prescription drug coverage.
If you have VA benefist and are eligible for Medicare, you can have both types of coverage. Medicare Advantage plans work alongside VA benefits to give you more healthcare options. You can use VA facilities and services as well as go to doctors and hospitals in your Medicare Advantage plan's network.
